Seat Navigator – finding instead of searching

We’ve all been there: you walk through the whole building to find a free place to work or study. Not only is it incredibly tiring to make the long walk across several floors, but the unwanted noise of footsteps is also a disturbing factor for other people who need to concentrate.

With the Seat Navigator, the time-consuming search for free workstations has now come to an end. In collaboration with the Lucerne-based start-up “Thingdust”, seats are equipped with motion sensors and the occupancy display is integrated into the virtual room information system V:SCOUT. A pause mode ensures that seats are not released prematurely when people temporarily leave them. As V:SCOUT is web server-based, the search for free workstations can take place virtually anywhere, whether from home or on the move. In addition, the utilization of the workstations can also be displayed in a building plan, allowing you to decide in advance which building to visit.
